STEP Sealer #6100 Tropical Wood is specially formulated to insulate and prevent defects caused by aggressive ingredients in untreated tropical woods. STEP Sealer #6100 is also easy to apply, flows smoothly, and gives the wood a warm color.
Product Description Step Sealer #6100,
Water-based, single-component sealer with insulating properties suitable for untreated wood. Highly suitable for insulating and preventing defects caused by aggressive components of tropical woods such as kambala (iroko), afzelia, and basralocus. STEP Sealer #6100 Tropical Wood also provides a warm color and enhances the wood's glow. It can be applied seamlessly, flows smoothly, and resists yellowing. Can be overcoated after at least 24 hours (it must be allowed to cure fully before it can be insulated) and then finished with SKYLT or STEP Parquet Varnishes.

System Build Step Sealer #6100,
Apply only to untreated wood.
1 coat of STEP Sealer #6100 Tropical Wood and 2 coats of SKYLT topcoat or STEP Parquet Lacquer of your choice.
Before applying the final coat of lacquer, sand the surface with P120.
FOR THE PROCESSOR:
- Water-based 1-component sealer.
- Isolates and prevents defects by isolating aggressive ingredients from tropical woods such as kambala (iroko), afzelia and basralocus.
- Easy to process and flows smoothly.
- Can be painted over after at least 24 hours; must harden before insulating.
- System: 1 coat of STEP Sealer #6100 Tropical Wood; then finish with 2 to 3 coats of SKYLT or STEP Parquet Varnish.
FOR THE END USER:
- Smooth and sleek appearance.
- Gives a warm colour and also enhances the wood glow.
- Does not yellow.
- Suitable for underfloor heating.
Please note: Always apply with the special paint rollers and/or brushes below. Never use any other roller as this will cause streaks and marks, etc.
